Eleven March University was established on March 11, 1976 based on Presidential Decree No. 10 of 1976. At that time, the name of this university was Surakarta Sebelas Maret State University. Based on Presidential Decree No. 55 of 1982, the name of Surakarta Sebelas Maret State University was changed to Sebelas Maret University abbreviated as UNS, which is located on Ir. Sutami Street, Not. 36 A Kentingan Surakarta.

The existence of The Undergraduate Study Program of Mathematics Education was pioneered by the formation of the Jurusan Ilmu Pasti (the Department of Exact Science), which at that time was included in the Faculty of Teacher Training. Based on Presidential Decree No. 55 of 1982, the Faculty of Teacher Training and the Faculty of Education were merged into one under the name Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP = Faculty of Teacher Training and Education). In its journey, the Department of Exact Sciences (the Department of Exact Science) changed its name to The Undergraduate Study Program of Mathematics Education.

The Undergraduate Study Program of Mathematics Education, which currently has an accreditation status of UNGGUL based on Lamdik Decree No. 365/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/S/K/2022, consistently processes as a comfortable place to learn and share Mathematics in order to realize the achievement of the vision of the study program.
